Today is the day we start Palabra Coffee, in public, before any of it is finished. The brand is still being built. The packaging is still in development. We're finalizing the details on the first lots we're going to bring in. None of it is done, and we didn't want to wait until it was to start talking about why we're doing this.

So instead of a launch announcement, this is a first entry. As the brand comes together, the packaging gets finalized, and we lock in the lots we're starting with, we'll be posting the progress here: what we're deciding, what we're second-guessing, and eventually, what's actually in the bag. For now, here's an excerpt from the note we wrote ourselves when we started this:

"The story behind a coffee, and the voices behind it, deserve to be heard. Behind every lot is a family, a mountainside, and a harvest that took a year of patient, exacting work to get right, and we wanted a place to tell it properly."
